Wasa North America, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Barilla America, Inc.,(“Wasa”) recognizes the importance of protecting your privacy and takes that obligation seriously by meeting or exceeding privacy regulations promulgated under United States law. Wasa’s main Statement of Privacy, which includes further information on our data handling procedures, can be found here. The following information aligns Wasa’s Statement of Privacy with the specific points required by the Privacy Shield self-certification process, and ensures Wasa’s compliance with the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework and the Swiss-US Privacy Shield Framework.
Wasa has committed to cooperate with the EU authority or authorities concerned under the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and/or the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner under the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework, in conformity with the Supplemental Principles on Human Resources Data and the Role of the Data Protection Authorities and will comply with the advice given by such authorities.
Wasa has further committed to refer unresolved privacy complaints under the EU-US and Swiss-US Privacy Shield Principles to an independent dispute resolution mechanism, BBB EU PRIVACY SHIELD, a non-profit alternative dispute resolution provider located in the United States and operated by the Council of Better Business Bureaus. If you do not receive timely acknowledgment of your complaint, or if your complaint is not satisfactorily addressed, please visit bbb.org/EU-privacy-shield/for-eu-consumers for more information and to file a complaint.
Please note that if your complaint is not resolved through these channels, under limited circumstances, a binding arbitration option may be available before a Privacy Shield Panel.
